By Richelle Olsen. After almost 2 weeks of living it up in Whistler, tomorrow is the day we start our bike tour! Whistler has been everything promised and more...amazing downhill bike park riding (think massive shocks and full face helmets!), Shane smashed himself on the Redbull 400 race, spectacular alpine hikes, dizzying gondola rides, teeth chatteringly freezing glaciers, super technical cross country Mtb trails, lots of yummy food, plenty of beers, some long overdue catchups with old friends, and some introductions to new friends! And some hitch hiking....rebels!! But alas it's come to an end...tomorrow our mate Vaughan heads back to Vancouver, and we jump on our bikes for day 1 of our bike tour....the 32 "undulating" kms from Whistler to Pemberton...wooo! We are super keen to get started. It's been good times here, but it's truly time to hit the road and see what the Canadian Rockies can throw at us. There's around 900km of road riding between us and the start of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, this should be fun! Bloody daunting, but planning on doing it one day at a time...one day at a time!
